Let’s talk skincare!
As women, we usually have 1000 different things on our to-do list, and skincare might be the last one. But, it’s so important to dedicate time each day for self-care. And I know I feel SO much better when I care for my skin!
Skincare will also become even more important as you age. If you’re not careful, those wrinkles, bags and dark spots will seemingly jump out from nowhere.
Start a skin care routine now that you can use on a regular basis to look and feel your best. It may not take as much time as you think. I just got the RODAN & Fields Dark Spot Treatment and you can watch my reel below. Keep reading for your skincare steps.
Here’s my minimalist skincare routine and some of my favorite skincare products to get you started (Click the images to shop)!
1. Remove Makeup
If you’re doing a nighttime skincare routine, you’ll want to start by removing any makeup you’ve worn throughout the day. This will give you a fresh base to start your cleansing process. Be sure to use a makeup remover that is gentle on skin and reaches through every layer.
Here are some of my favorite products to try:
2. Cleanse
Now it’s time to cleanse your skin! This is my favorite part of my skincare routine. It feels so refreshing to to remove the oil and dirt from my face and get down into those pores. You can switch between different cleansers for your morning and night routines or use the same throughout. I sometimes like to use a cleanser geared towards blemishes in the morning and a healing cleanser at night.

3. Mask or Exfoliate (Once or Twice a Week)
Exfoliants and masks are great for deep cleansing and rejuvenating the surface of your skin. They help to strip away dead skin and reveal the more vibrant and healthy layer beneath. This extra step is a great addition to your skincare routine a couple times a week. I did a MASK with BRAGG Livefoods. Watch it here: Clay mask with Bragg.
I purposefully limit how frequently I do this step because over-exfoliation can be irritating to the skin.
I love a good mask, but I don’t always have the time to apply one, especially in a minimalist skincare routine. Keep masks to a couple times a week, too, and that’s all your skin really needs!

4. Rejuvenate
Skin rejuvenation is a must for me. This skin care step becomes more and more important as we age. It’s crucial to add back vital nutrients as we start to lose essential vitamins and minerals. These elements help skin look and feel its best.

5. Moisturize
Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! This final step is essential to any skincare routine. A moisturizer keeps your skin plump and youthful and can help seal in the beneficial elements from your serum and tonics. A moisturizer is one of your best defenses against wrinkles and helps to reduce the appearance of existing ones. Thirsty skin cells shrink away, making wrinkles appear bigger and more defined!
